Gil is a pre-med student studying Kinesiology. He participated in NCSY throughout high school. After college he hopes to enlist into the IDF and make Aliyah.

Avi studied at Yeshivat Yesodei HaTorah in Israel for a year and a half before starting the Biomedical Engineering undergraduate program at Arizona State University. He is working to improve Jewish life on campus so that religious students can feel more comfortable studying at ASU.

Talia grew up in Manhattan and attended Ramaz before studying at Midreshet Lindenbaum in Jerusalem. In New York, she practiced ballet pre-professionally.

Rebecca graduated from SAR High School and spent last year learning at Midreshet Nishmat in Jerusalem. Her hobbies include skiing, traveling and reading.

Amanda volunteered with Magen David Adom in Israel and plans to be pre-med. She studied at Midreshet Lindenbaum and is excited about all the opportunities to study Torah in college.

Aviva graduated from Maimonides High School, studied at Midreshet Nishmat and is now studying computer and electrical engineering. Her favorite things to do are running and baking. She’s currently training to run the Boston Marathon with her dad!

Eliana attended Ma’ayanot Yeshiva High School for Girls and studied at Midreshet Torah V’Avodah.  She is passionate about the environment, farming, music, hiking, Israel, and of course, Judaism.  She plans to major in environmental studies or business, and Judaic Studies. 

Jacqueline is from Glen Rock, New Jersey. Before Brandeis she studied at Frisch and Midreshet Harova. She’s majoring in Psychology and Business and might add a minor in Judaic studies. She loves dancing, learning Torah, The Office, working with kids, and all things Israel.

Shayna is studying Interior Design. After graduation, she plans to study for a masters in Architecture and a bachelor degree in business. She is passionate about community and getting involved with organizations such as NCSY, OU-JLIC and Yavneh.

Noam is from Teaneck and attended SAR where he spent the majority of his time doing Mock Trial prep, getting into heated debates, and eating. He is planning on majoring in History and Jewish Gender Studies. He likes to ski, play Mah Jongg, and spend way too many hours on BuzzFeed.

Jacob is from Miami and plans to study Computer Science. He is passionate about Jewish mysticism, music and his unique Sephardic heritage.

Elliot is studying Finance and Economics. He lives in New York City (even as a sephardic jew) and is involved in the Hillels at Baruch and NYU. Of all his hobbies, he holds playing Ultimate Frisbee in the highest regard and will never pass up the opportunity to have a toss if you ask him.

Tal was born in Norwood, NJ. He went to High School at The Frisch School and spent a year and a half at Yeshivat Orayta. He then finished his shanna Bet at Yeshiva University. Tal currently studies Biological Sciences at Baruch College. While in his college years, Tal plays a highly active role in his surrounding Jewish community by serving as Gabbi for Shalhevet, the Orthodox Jewish chapter of the Hillel at NYU.

Devora is from Far Rockaway, New York. Although Devora is fascinated by a good math problem or novels by John Steinbeck, her true passions lie in Torah and Jewish life. She was fortunate to have gained a wonderful Jewish education from Midreshet Shalhevet High School and Midreshet Lindenbaum's gap year program in Israel, and she continues to pursue Torah studies at Queens College. She hopes to bring more student-run Torah learning events to her campus, because she firmly believes that Jewish life is most vibrant when it is self-motivated.

David is from Queens, NY. He is currently Vice President of the OU-JLIC club at Queens College. Majoring in psychology, he is looking to pursue a career in either school or clinical psychology. Because of his great passion for Torah, you are most likely to find him learning in the Beit Midrash. He’s always available for a chavruta or just to chat for anyone who’s interested.

Shaindy grew up in Hillcrest, NY and is currently a Junior in Queens College studying Anthropology. She is President of OU-JLIC at Queens. Before coming to college, Shaindy graduated from YUHSG (Central) and then went on to study a year abroad in Israel at Tiferet. She likes to meet new people by sharing her stickers, corny jokes, and awkward anecdotes of her life. She is ecstatic to be a Yavneh Fellow!

Charlotte is from Boston and spent a year after high school in Israel in Sherut Leumi (National Service) working with kids-at-risk and teaching middle school children. She is studying product design.

Aida plans on becoming an Environmental Lawyer. Born and raised in Fort Lauderdale, she began to come back to her Jewish roots in high school through NCSY and Chabad. She works for one of the largest Sephardic synagogues in South Florida and is constantly creating programming for the diverse Jewish community. Aida is a self-proclaimed kosher foodie and loves hosting Shabbat dinners, learning Chassidus, spending time outdoors, and painting.

Sarit is studying Digital Media Production with a double minor in Social Work and Commercial Entrepreneurship.  She has worked with production companies across the country including New York City, Los Angeles, and Dallas on a variety of projects such as feature independent films, music videos, commercials, short films and documentaries. This summer, she recently launched her own production company entitled MangoSoul Productions, focused on creating short video content that aims to tell compelling and inspiring stories—to inform, educate and entertain. Judaism and film are two passions that inspire and motivate her in everything she does. While on campus, it is her goal to make students proud to be Jewish!

Last year Racheli studied in Israel at Machon Mayan. She has strong affiliations with Bnei Akiva and NCSY. She hopes to connect to as many Jewish people as possible, help grow Jewish life on her campus, and one day make Aliyah!

Corey is from Baltimore where he attended Beth Tfiloh Dahan Community School. He spent a year and a half learning at Yeshivat Orayta in Jerusalem, and he is now studying Computer Science and Religion. Corey enjoys involving himself in the Hillel community, volunteering at a homeless shelter, playing piano, and running by the Charles River.

Razi plans to study Near Eastern Languages and Cultures and to make Aliyah after college. He loves watching Israeli TV, is involved in interfaith dialogue, and is fully committed to club broom ball (basically ice hockey without skates). Contact him anytime you want to speak Hebrew, Spanish or Arabic, or just want to talk about Israel.

Jared is studying Economics and History and is usually hanging out at the Hillel house or rehearsing with the Jewish A Capella club Ketzev. He spends summers as the Assistant Director of Beaver Lake Day Camp in Monticello New York, and is excited to be a Yavneh Fellow!

Jordan is studying Computer Science. Last year he studied at Yeshivat Orayta in Jerusalem, and he hopes to share the wisdom and passion he gained there with the Jewish community at Hopkins.

Jared is studying engineering, but his secret aspiration is to make Aliyah and continue studying at Yeshivat Orayta where he spent a year before college. His passions include hockey, training guide dogs, building all-terrain race cars, and learning Torah. He knows that he can’t be in Israel right now, so he settled for the next best thing - making a difference on his campus! 

Yoni is an Israel activist from New York. When his older brother was serving in the Israeli army, Yoni helped raise $70,000 for fleece outwear to keep his brother's unit warm. His activism led him to work with various organizations including, StandWithUs, AIPAC, and AFSI, and even working for Minister Ofir Akunis, Israel's Minister of Science and Technology!

This past year, Hannah studied at Midreshet Moriah in Israel. The Jewish population at Muhlenberg is growing rapidly, and Hannah is excited to contribute her ideas and enthusiasm to the flourishing Jewish campus community!

Gracie grew up in Merion Station PA. She is a double major in Jewish Studies and Business with a concentration in Management and Marketing. Since freshman year Gracie has been invested in the Muhlenberg community specifically its Jewish community. Gracie has started HaMakom, an initiative to create authentic observant programs and spaces by students, for students. She is also working with Hillel and other organizations like the Panhellenic Council to make programs at Muhlenberg more accommodating for religious students. 

Riri grew up in Baltimore, Maryland and graduated from Beth Tfilloh where she was captain of the Model UN team. Last year she attended Midreshet Lindenbaum in Jerusalem. She enjoys debating and hosting soirees, and is an expert in Swahili proverbs. 

Ella grew up in New Rochelle, went to Camp Moshava IO for 12 years, attended SAR Academy and then spent a year at Midreshet Harova. She rock climbs regularly at NYU and participates in variety of writing programs. She lives for pasta - Pasta Basta in the Jerusalem shuk is her favorite place!

Sam is from Merrick, Long Island. She studied at Midreshet Moriah in Jerusalem before starting college.  She is passionate about new, exciting, fun, engaging and awesome programs to enhance Jewish life on campus

Rivka was born in Teaneck. She served as New Jersey NCSY Regional President. After graduating from Ma’ayanot, Rivka attended MMY in Jerusalem. She is currently pursuing a degree in Jewish Education.

Elisheva grew up in Stamford, CT and attended Ma’ayanot. She studied in Jerusalem at Sha’alvim for Women and is currently studying Jewish Education with a minor in Biology. She enjoy sports, Settlers of Catan, reading, and studying Torah. 

Anna is passionate about community service and advocacy. She grew up in Philadelphia, attended Kohelet Yeshiva High School, and spent a year in Jerusalem at Sha’alvim for Women.  She is currently in her second year as a Speech Pathology and Audiology major and Psychology Minor. In her free time, Anna is fully dedicated to her position as head of the Torah With the Roshei Yeshiva Club, and loves her position as an NCSY Advisor for Atlantic Seaboard NCSY.

Josh was born and raised in New Rochelle where he attended Westchester Day School and Frisch. He attended Yeshivat Hakotel for two years in Jerusalem. He is pursuing a degree in business administration.

Ashira is from Cleveland and spent the year prior to entering college in Israel at Machon Ma'ayan. She plays two instruments, guitar and piano, likes creative writing, and loves to spend as much time as she can volunteering at organizations for kids with special needs: Shalva, Yachad, and Friendship Circle. She’s incredibly excited to help make a difference in the Jewish community on campus.

Hannah is from New Rochelle, went to SAR and Ma’ayanot and spent a year studying in Midreshet Lindenbaum in Jerusalem, Israel. She is currently studying psychology and looking to transfer into the business school. She loves baking for every occasion, running with (and losing to) her dad, learning Torah in any capacity, and trying to stay awake long enough to read classical literature. She is passionate about creating dynamic and innovative programming, stimulating new ideas and conversations, and empowering the people around her.

Jake is proud to say that he was born and raised in Southfield, Michigan. He is a Business Administration major with a concentration in Finance.

AJ is majoring in Chemical Engineering with a minor in Theatre. He was born in Los Angeles and lived in the San Fernando Valley for most of his life. He currently lives and works as a Resident Adviser at the UCLA Bayit, a co-op created for the purpose of providing Jewish students a home away from home and to help them improve Jewish life on campus. AJ is looking forward to working with Yavneh this year to build an even better Jewish community at UCLA!

Asher is studying business economics, accounting and classics. He was born and raised in Los Angeles, attended YULA Boys High School and studied in Yeshivat Har Etzion. Asher is excited to bring his passion for building the Jewish community to Yavneh.

Amy is a pre-law political science student. When she isn't juggling her normal academic and paralegal studies, working part time, and participating in extracurriculars, she enjoys watching her newest favorite TV series or reading a good book.  In her two years at UCSD, she has been very engaged in Jewish life on campus and continues to get more involved.  She is committed to seeing the Jewish community at her college grow and is excited to host more "Havdallah Turn-Ups"!

Julia is majoring in physics and math. She is originally from the Washington, D.C. area, and spent a year studying at Migdal Oz before coming to Chicago. 

Daniel grew up in New York, went to Ramaz and spent a year in Yeshivat Maale Gilboa. He grew up speaking Hebrew and has spent every summer in recent memory in Israel, particularly on the Tel Aviv beaches.

Yakir plans to major in neuroscience on a PreMed track. On campus, Yakir is excited to share his Judaism with just about anyone who will let him and is heavily involved in both Hillel and Chabbad. Yakir enjoys the intimate nature of the close-knit Jewish community at The University of Chicago and is eager to help continue its tremendous recent growth.

Mayan is from Rockville, Maryland and is a special education major on the pre-occupational therapy track. She’s Israeli, Persian, spiritual and loves tea, hiking and laughing. She can't wait to graduate and fulfill her dream of making Aliyah!

Miriam is from Potomac, Maryland and attended the Berman Hebrew Academy. She spent a year studying in Israel at Nishmat. She is studying Civil Engineering. She likes playing (or watching) basketball, softball, and pretty much any sport. She loves learning Torah and is excited to be part of the Yavneh fellowship!

Eitan grew up in Silver Spring, MD, attended Berman Hebrew Academy, spent summers with Bnei Akiva and studied at Yeshivat HaKotel in the Old City of Jerusalem. He is studying business and finance. He enjoys singing, running and playing tennis.

Rachel is from Los Angeles and is majoring in Nutrition and Dietetics. She attended Shalhevet High School and spent her gap year at Harova in the Old City of Jerusalem. She loves anything coffee, running, and finding fun, new ways to put together a salad.

Ayelet is from Sharon, Massachusetts. She attended Maimonides School and was involved with sports, Model UN, and student council. After high school, she spent a year in the Old City of Jerusalem at Midreshet HaRova.

Ilan is from Boca Raton and is studying Regional and Urban Planning. He attended Katz Yeshiva High School and spent last year studying at Yeshivat Lev HaTorah in Israel. In high school, he founded the KYHS Geography Club and captained his team at a regional geography bee.

Tuvya is from Skokie, Illinois and plans to triple-major in Marketing, Business Technology, and Entrepreneurship. Tuvya served as President of his high school's Israeli Club, served on the board of the Chicagoland Chapter of NCSY, and interned at StandWithUs. After high school, Tuvya attended Yeshivat Eretz HaTzvi in Jerusalem. Tuvya is excited excited to connect with over 3,000 Jewish students at the University of Miami.

Max was born and raised in NYC, attended Ramaz, basked in Yeshiva League hockey glory and ran a minyan every Shabbos in his living room. He spent a transformative gap year at Yeshivat Orayta in the Old City of Jerusalem. He is currently studying philosophy and neuroscience at Penn, and secretly has a Chassidic soul that yearns for Rebbe Nachman Torah and a healthy dose of Zusha. He is passionate about Shtick, plays the electric violin, and is fascinated with the question of why people believe what they believe. He enjoys long Shabbos dinners and his favorite color is IDF olive-green.

Jeremy grew up in Westchester, NY and attended Ramaz Upper School. After graduating, he spent a year studying at Yeshivat Orayta. Jeremy's many passions include meaningful conversations, psychology, learning about religions, medicine, and trying to just be a friendly guy.

Shayan was the president of the student body of his high school YULA in Los Angeles. He studied in Israel at Yeshivat Sha’arei Mevaseret Tzion. He is on the executive board of Chabad on Campus and Trojans for Israel. Shayan loves music, sports (specifically the Lakers :D), and hanging out with his friends.

Ben grew up in New York City. He is studying communications and film. On campus, he is producing a web-series, sings in an acapella group, and volunteers for Special Olympics, Troy Camp, and Share A Meal.  He is on the board of the Chabad of USC and the USC Hillel. Ben is passionate about filmmaking, theatre, and comedy, and is interested in seeing ways to tie his Judaism into these artistic endeavors.

Devorah was born and raised in Milwaukee where she attended Hillel Academy and Torah Academy of Milwaukee High School. Devorah began playing harp when she was seven, and shortly after discovered that she enjoyed writing music as well. She is currently in her sophomore year, majoring in Music Composition. When she ventures out of the practice room or concert hall, Devorah can be found helping to organize Shabbos meals and Jewish programming on campus.

Tani is from Silver Spring, Maryland and is majoring in finance. He sees Yavneh as an opportunity to become a more well-developed person with an enriched Jewish identity. He loves to play all types of sports, read about world issues, and hang out with friends.

Born in Milwaukee, Ari attended public school before making the choice to attend a Jewish high school in Chicago. Ari has been exploring a wide range of classes from The Psychology of Buddhist Meditation to Thinking About Religion. Ari hopes to engage the entire Jewish community across denominational lines.

Ali is from Oakland, California and attended the Jewish Community High School of the Bay, a non-denominational Jewish high school in San Francisco. She took a gap year at Migdal Oz, during which she spent considerable amounts of time in Gemara shiur and singing on hilltops. At Wash U she is really enjoying Beginning Arabic and training for interpersonal violence prevention work on campus. She loves hiking, podcasts, and chocolate, and is very excited to learn the skills to best contribute to her current and future Jewish communities.

Jacob is from Teaneck and attended Yeshivat Frisch for high school. He spent two of the most amazing years of his life studying at Reishit where he fell in love with the Jewish people.

Avi is an avid basketball player, insomniac, and Dunkin' coffee addict (somehow they go together). Fun Fact #1 Avi lived in Washington Heights as a child before moving to Israel with his family. Fun Fact #2: Avi might have more shoes than his mom.

Daniel is from Los Angeles, CA. He spent a year and a half studying at Yeshivat Hakotel in Jerusalem which was a life changing experience. He loves to play basketball, learn Torah, play video games, and hang out with friends. He looks forward to making big changes on YU’s campus within the next three years. 

Tani is from Woodmere NY. He’s studying music and biology and is a Singer/Songwriter/Musician. He also considers himself a little bit of a nut and is absolutely nuts about Yavneh and all the potential it brings to bettering the Jewish community and the world.
