Abi Sauber - New York School of Interior Design
Abi loves to volunteer and get involved in the Jewish community. Over the past few years she's built connections with her buddies at friendship circle in Crown Heights. During her year in Israel, Abi participated in the Nitzavim fellowship learning what it means to be a Jewish leader on campus.
Ada Perlman - Yale University
Ada is a first year student at Yale University. She is originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and spent her gap year at Midreshet Lindenbaum. In her free time, she loves reading, singing, learning, and discussing current events.
Akiva Rosenthal - Yeshiva University
After summitting mountains, swimming with sharks, and becoming the inspiration for the "most interesting man in the world" commercials, Akiva Rosenthal has set his sights on new goals. Akiva is excited for another year at Yeshiva University where he can continue tutoring kids in local elementary schools, playing chess with friends, and hopefully get a shoe deal after defending his intramural frisbee title. He has also recently joined the board for the "Food for Thought" club in YU which provides food to the less fortunate and enjoys being a Project Manager on the Yavneh NYC Board!
Akiva Yeshurun - Florida International University
Akiva Yeshurun is a sophomore at Florida International University studying Computer Science, Psychology and Art. Beyond his academic inclinations, Akiva has an interest in Jewish History, philosophy, and design, as well as giving back to the community by giving classes and Divre Torah.
Alexandra Hadge - Yeshiva University
Ally is an individual who is devoted to contributing to the Jewish future by working to develop young minds and interact with others to spread light on religion. Through her work at a Hebrew School and volunteering as a science teacher in an underprivileged school in Washington Heights, Ally works hard to ensure the success of future generations. Ally enjoys writing, creating and learning about art, playing board games with friends, and is passionate about the State of Israel.
Alison Mudick - Brooklyn College
Alison Mudick grew up in a religious-centered community and is a dedicated individual with a passion for learning and personal growth. She is enthusiastic about engaging in various activities, for example she participated in a Holocaust Program while in her senior year, and was head of a Shabbaton. In their free time, Alison Mudick enjoys helping others, and building relationships showing a commitment to self-improvement and a well-rounded approach to life.
Andrew Rosenberg - Binghamton University
Andrew is currently studying Engineering at Binghamton University. In his free time, Andrew enjoys learning and playing sports.
Anna Weisman - The Cooper Union
Anna is from Silver Spring, Maryland and is studying electrical engineering at Cooper Union. She is the chair of education at the orthodox branch of the NYU Hillel, Shalhevet. She is a big fan of yellow kiwis at the moment.
Ari Buman - University of Maryland
Ari Burman is an incoming Freshman at the University of Maryland who is currently studying computer engineering. After spending 2 years at Yeshivat Orayta, he is passionate about sharing and learning Torah with others, and is excited to be involved in the Jewish community. Ari Sacks is a freshman student enrolled in the Macaulay Honors Program in Queens College. Ari enjoys reading, exercising, and learning Torah — as well as the time he gets to spend in Camp HASC.

Ariella spent a year at Migdal Oz and is now a freshman at Princeton. She enjoys playing soccer, hiking, and baking and can't wait to become part of her campus' JLIC!
Aryeh Padwa - Harvard University
Aryeh Padwa is an incoming freshman at Harvard University interested in studying Development Economics, Global Health, and Machine Learning System. In his free time he enjoys playing and watching sports, reading, board games, listening to music, and hanging out with friends and family. This academic year he hopes to be a part of the Undergrad Orthodox minyan at Harvard Hillel, to participate in Harvard Model Congress, and to be a member of the Harvard Effective Altruism Society, among other activities, fellowships, and organizations.

Boaz is a freshman at the University of Michigan who attended YULA and KYHS for high school. He recently spent a year in Israel learning at Yeshivat Chovat Hatalmidim (YTVA) and interning part time for The Jerusalem Post.

Daniella Moadab - Queens College
Daniella Moadab is originally from Bergenfield, New Jersey, and after attending Yeshivat Frisch she studied at Midreshet Lindenbaum. She is now a first year at Macaulay Queens College and is a proud Yavneh Fellow. She is passionate about enhancing and supporting Jewish life on campus. Dara Khaimov is a freshman at Hofstra University majoring in Bioengineering. Prior to Hofstra, she attended Yeshiva University High School for Girls and Migdal Oz Beit Midrash for Women. In her spare time, she enjoys hanging out with her dog, cooking, and learning new things.

He is an active member of the Hamilton Jewish community and has taken on various leadership positions including leading the Bar Mitzvah Club. Devorah Wertheimer - MIT
Born and raised in Boston, Devorah is a sophomore studying Brain and Cognitive Science at MIT. After graduating from Maimonides School she spent a year in Israel at Midreshet Lindenbaum. While she’s not singing in her acapella group at MIT, you can probably find her blasting music in the car, playing tennis, learning mishnayot, or handing out candy.
Efraim Kooijmans - Rutgers University
Efraim Kooijmans is a Rutgers freshman coming from Teaneck, New Jersey. He will be involved in the Rutgers Jewish Community through both the Rutgers Chabad and the Hillel communities. He loves anything outdoors, whether it's skiing, hiking or swimming, and is excited to help his community through the Yavneh fellowship.
Elie Schneider - New York University
Elie Schneider is from Los Angeles and starting his first year in a Music Technology major. On his free time he enjoys playing guitar and doing photography.
Ella Zaret - Florida International University
Ella Zaret is going into her sophomore year at Florida International University. She is involved with the Jewish life on campus and is very prideful of the growing Jewish community at FIU. Her favorite memory of this past school year was setting up a Purim booth with her friends, dancing, educating, and spreading the joy, as they passed out mishloach manot to all who passed!
Emily Seligson - Washington University St. Louis
Born and raised in Stamford CT, Emily is venturing to the Midwest. She is studying computer science at Washington University in St Louis after spending the past year in Givat Washington at Machon Maayan. Emily has a true chocolate addiction (but loves to share), and can always be found practicing figure skating or making a new DIY project.
Emma Freund - Rutgers University
After attending SAR high school for 4 years and a year in the holy land at AMIT, Emma is ecstatic to bring the energy as a new OUJLIC fellow at Rutgers University. In her free time, she loves a good hike, playing guitar, and chilling with friends. She is thrilled to meet like minded individuals who also want to help enhance Jewish student life on campus!

Ephraim Weiss is studying Mechanical Engineering at WashU in St. Louis. He loves to play piano, various sports, and enjoys social activities. As an active member of the Orthodox Jewish community on campus, Ephraim plans on participating and leading many religious and social activities through this upcoming academic year. He hopes to grow and help others expand in their religious life both on and off campus.

After spending a year at Shraga, Ethan Oliner is now studying Industrial and Labor Relations at Cornell University. He is the President of Kedma, which runs the Orthodox Minyan. For leisure, he enjoys playing and watching sports, as well as cooking and eating new foods.

Eyal Lubin - University of Pennsylvania
Eyal Lubin is a freshman at the University of Pennsylvania. Before this year, he has spent time at Yeshivat Torat Shraga and Kohelet Yeshiva High School. He is a member of the Orthodox Community at Penn as well as the Chabad, and can usually be found working out, listening to music, or hanging out with friends and family (sometimes all three at the same time).
Eytan Israel - Yale University
After attending SAR High School, and spending two years at Yeshivat Har Etzion (Gush), Eytan Israel is currently in his second year at Yale University, majoring in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering. In his free time, Eytan enjoys shmoozing, hiking, "road trip"ing, and finding ways to combine his love of coding and 3D printing with his work with the special needs community and Yachad (ask him about it!)
Eytan Saenger - Binghamton University
Eytan Saenger is a first-year student at Binghamton University after completing a post-SAR High School gap year at Yeshivat Orayta in the Old City, Jerusalem. Eytan is no stranger to the Yavneh name, having spent 11 summers at Camp Yavneh, including the past 2 on staff where he has furthered his love of Judaism, leadership, and people of different backgrounds. Eytan is interested in and passionate about many things including singing and writing songs, playing and watching sports, politics, sharing thoughts on the weekly parsha, writing, connecting with people, and more, and is very excited to have the opportunity to meet many people and grow his leadership skills and build stronger communities.
Ezra Greenberg - Johns Hopkins University
Ezra Greenberg is a sophomore at Johns Hopkins University majoring in Applied Mathematics & Statistics and Biophysics. He is actively involved in the Hopkins Hillel and looking forward to contributing further as a Yavneh Fellow. Outside of Jewish life on campus, Ezra loves classical music and is a cellist in the Hopkins Symphony Orchestra.

Ezra was born and raised in Dallas, TX. After graduating from Fairhill School, Ezra spent his gap year in Lev HaTorah and is now at Muhlenberg College pursuing a degree in English and Creative Writing. Ezra loves reading, writing, baking, glassblowing, listening to music, observing the world through a comedic lens, and talking all things Camp Stone!
Finley Horowitz - University of Chicago
Finley is a freshman at the University of Chicago, studying computer science and premed. She grew up in NYC, graduated from Ramaz, and spent a year in Israel at MTVA. In her free time, Finley loves running, hiking, roller skating, and reading.
Gabe Greenfield - University of Pennsylvania
Gabe Greenfield is a Freshman at UPenn studying PPE (Philosophy, Politics, and Economics). He loves getting involved in whatever initiatives he can and whatever institutions he is in and looks forward to continuing to make an impact through the Yavneh fellowship at Penn. Gabe Burstyn grew up in Skokie, Illinois and is currently a first-year student at Brown University. After graduating from Ida Crown Jewish Academy, he spent a year learning in Yeshivat Har Etzion. His home away from home is Camp Stone where he has spent many summers. Gabe has a passion for learning gemara and loves to ski and play baseball.
Hannah Friedman - MIT
Hannah Friedman went to Frisch for high school, and is a rising freshman at MIT. In her free time, she loves watching and discussing movies/TV shows (she’s a massive Marvel fan), reading, and listening to Taylor Swift! Coffee is her passion (she would say it's coursing through her veins by now), so she is always down to grab a cup of coffee!

Josh Katz is a Freshman at the University of Michigan. He is from Englewood, New Jersey, and graduated from Yeshivat Frisch. Josh then spent a year learning at Aish Gesher Yeshiva in the old city. Josh loves basketball, the NY Jets, and spending time with his family and friends. He also loves Harry Potter and has recently begun to teach himself how to play the guitar.

Lara is a junior at Brown University studying biology. She is gabbait at Hillel, recruits people to join the Gift of Life marrow registry, and is the editorial director for the Brown chapter of Spoon University, an online food publication. In her free time, she can be found baking for any occasion or on walks around Providence identifying plants for whomever she is with.

Leah is from Brooklyn NY and is a Junior at Brooklyn College, studying Psychology and Health. She is a part of several Jewish clubs on campus including, The Orthodox Club, LINK, and the OU-JLIC Student Advisory Committee. Levi Stein is an incoming Sophomore at the University of Michigan school of Engineering. He is currently the Gabbai of the Orthodox community as well as Associate Prospective Student Coordinator. He loves to spend time within the Jewish community and help people within the community, and he especially ensures that he has a fun time while doing it. When Levi is not planning and going to events or studying for classes, he likes to play basketball, piano, and chess.
Maya Fuchs - University of Central Florida
Maya Fuchs is a Junior at the University of Central Florida and has spent this last summer learning at Neve Yerushalayim. She is studying Studio Art with a minor in Art History and Judaic Studies. Outside of school and working as a caricature artist, Maya spends her free time working on many different art projects in areas such as traditional art, photography, graphic design, and mixed media.

Molly Sigman is from Cedarhurst, NY and is currently a sophomore at John Jay College of Criminal Justice studying Forensic Psychology. Natalee Katave - Texas A&M University
Natalee is attending Texas A&M University and is majoring in chemistry. In Israel, she was a student at Midreshet Amit, and she is so excited to bring Jewish life to her campus is Texas!
Nathan Wieder - University of Maryland
Nathan is involved a number of different leadership positions on and off campus. He's on the KEDMA Board which is the modern orthodox communities board, as well as the VP of Admin of the Smith Investment Fund, while also playing intramural sports.
Nitay Eshed - City College of New York
An outoftowner at heart, Nitay is in his third year at CCNY where he's slaving through an engineering degree and doing what he can for the campus' small Jewish community. Nitay studied in Yeshivat Orayta after freshman year and loves to share Torah and Jewish pride with gusto wherever he goes. Outside of school and the beit midrash, Nitay likes hiking, reading, winemaking, and is an NCSY advisor for Stamford, CT.
Noah Bodner - Cornell University
Noah is a Yeshivat Orayta alum and is currently studying Atmospheric Science in Cornell University. He is involved in the various Cornell, Jewish organizations and loves his family, Israel, speaking Hebrew, and weather!!

Noah Reicin - Emory University
Noah Reicin is a Sophomore at Emory University working towards a double major in Business and Philosophy. His travel experiences in America, Israel, and abroad have shaped him into the person he is today, and he hopes to share with others whatever light he may have gained from those travels.
Penina Kahane - Binghamton University
Penina Kahane is from Hollywood, Florida. After graduating from Katz Yeshiva High School she spent a year learning in Israel at Sha'alvim for Women and is now at Binghamton University. Penina enjoys getting involved, learning, volunteering, baking, volleyball, and just having a good time.
Rachel Hanan - Touro University
Rachel is a sophomore at the Touro University BS/MD program and is majoring in Biology. She loves meeting new people, and spending time with friends and family. Raviv is from Overland Park, KS. He is a junior studying Mechanical Engineering at the University of Missouri, Kansas City. Previously, he studied at Derech Etz Chaim in Har Nof for yeshiva and went to Anieres Elite Academy in Nahalal, Israel for high school. He loves cooking, chess, and building drones. Reena Bernstein is from Toronto, Ontario. She spent her gap year at Midreshet Lindenbaum and is now a sophomore at York University studying cognitive science. Reena is currently the co-president of JLIC Toronto, and she is excited to join the Yavneh community!

Originally from Riverdale New York, Rifky is a sophomore at Brandeis University studying psychology. She is the gabbait of the Brandeis Orthodox Minyan, a Hillel student leader, and a member of the Brandeis Orthodox Organization board. Rifky is passionate about mental health awareness, checking the eruv on campus and coffee.

Ruthy Derzie was born into a religious and learning-oriented community in Brooklyn. She’s enthusiastic and passionate about getting involved and embracing new opportunities. She takes interest in advocating for Israel and attending speakers that enhances her connection with her community.

Ruthie hails from Woodmere, N.Y. She attended SKA High School for Girls and spent her gap year studying at Midreshet Harova in Jerusalem. She was an OU- JLIC intern this past summer and is currently a sophomore at Queens College majoring in Speech Pathology. Ruthie enjoys hanging with friends at the beach, biking, traveling, reading, and volunteering with special needs children. Ruthie is an environmental sociology major at NYU! She is VP of Shalhevet, the Downtown OU-JLIC community and is education chair of Kehillah, the trad-egal community on campus. Sam Koffler - University of Pennsylvania
Sam is a freshman at UPenn studying Cognitive Science. Growing up in NYC, Sam went to Ramaz and then spent a gap year at Yeshivat Orayta. Samantha Klein - Queens College
Growing up in Woodmere, NY, Samantha graduated from SKA and is currently a sophomore in Queens College! As a OU-JLIC board member, Samantha loves being involved on campus and within the larger Jewish community. When she’s not hanging out with friends or family, you can probably find her searching for new music or on a run.
Sarah Altman - Brandeis University
Sarah Altman is entering her sophomore year at Brandeis University, where she is studying Biology and Business. She loves being a part of the Orthodox, Jewish community and helps with things like checking the Eruv or studying to be a Mashgiach on campus. Savi Kessler - Stony Brook University
Savi Kessler is the Treasurer of Stony Brook's Hillel board Israel branch, a JNF fellow and now a Yavneh fellow. She takes her love for Israel seriously as she's been there for three separate programs in this past year alone and she can't wait to return (maybe permanently). As a Computer Engineering and Applied Mathematics and Statics major she hopes to one day start a start up. As for now she just hopes to pass the classes she's taking this semester.
Seth Schlank - Binghamton University
From Plainview, New York, Seth is a second-year student at Binghamton University, majoring in Psychology. When he's not in the classroom or studying, you can find him writing for the Binghamton University newspaper, Pipe Dream, hanging out with friends, learning, davening, running, working for the Binghamton Gameday Production Crew, working as a Mashgiach at the Kosher Korner or watching the Yankees play. Seth is the Chagim chair on the JLIC @ Binghamton Executive Board and is an active member and lay leader of Jewish life on campus at Binghamton.
Shira Haron - Michigan University
Shira is an incoming freshman a the University of Michigan and will be studying at the business school there. She just completed her gap year at a Mechina in Migdal Oz and loves anything Israel-related. Shira loves going out with her friends in her free time and she is super excited to be involved in the Jewish community at Michigan!

Freshly back from MMY, Shoshi Cantor is currently a freshman at The Cooper Union studying Electrical Engineering. She is super excited to bring all her passion from Israel back to the Jewish community on campus. Her hobbies include running, reading, learning Torah, and all things 76ers. Catch her walking everywhere around the city as it is her preferred mode of transportation!
Simone Shafiro - Molloy University
Hailing from Brooklyn, New York, Simone Shafiro is a nursing student at Molloy University. She currently serves as the vice president of Molloy Univeristy’s Hillel, where she blends her passions for Jewish engagement and healthcare education. Outside of her academic pursuits, Simone finds solace in cultivating her garden, immersing herself in true crime documentaries, and exploring literature. Eagerly anticipating the enriching journey ahead, she looks forward to her participation in the Yavneh Fellowship!
Sophia Kaye - Brandeis University
Sophie hails from Los Angeles and attends Brandeis University, where she's deeply involved in the orthodox community. She held the role of first-year representative on BOO (Brandeis Orthodox Organization) and is also a member of the student union, while actively participating in several clubs. Beyond her commitments, she has a passion for the outdoors and expresses her creativity through art.
Steven Galitzer - Yeshiva University
Steven Galitzer grew up in Hollywood, Florida, attended Katz Yeshiva High School, studied in Yeshivat Eretz Hatzvi, and is currently a sophomore at Yeshiva University. Over the summer Steven could be found in Camp Stone which has been a major source for his values of Torah Vi Avoda, community, and leadership. Some of Steven’s hobbies include, but are not limited to learning, acting, singing, and hanging out with friends.
Tamar Fadida - Florida International University
Tamar Fedida goes to Florida International University and is entering her junior year. She is currently studying nutritional sciences at FIU and is on the board of the science club as the social media manager. Tamar plans to pursue a career in alternative medicine after she graduates in spring 2025.
Tziyona Gheblikian - Florida International University
Tziyona Gheblikian is a student at Florida International University. She is majoring in Biological Sciences and minoring in Chemistry. She is really passionate about medicine, and hopes to attend medical school in the near future. Her hobbies include writing, reading, singing, and dancing. She is excited to be joining Yavneh and to get more involved with the Jewish community on her campus!
Yakira Colish - Touro University
Yakira Colish lives in Long Island and is a Political Science Student at Touro University. She is an active member on the Honors Board and gives weekly (entertaining!) Torah classes. In her free time she enjoys hanging out with her six siblings and going on long walks while deeply contemplating life.
Yolie Starck - Loyola University Chicago
I am a self starter, and like to keep myself busy. I love to bake (check out bread.by.yolie on instagram!) especially sourdough, exercise, and help others. I recently took an EMT course, and have just become an licensed EMT! I am excited to get started on my medial career! I am passionate about wellness and love to play basketball. I'm thrilled to be working with Yavneh!
Yona Sperling - Milner - Harvard University
Yona Sperling-Milner is a first-year student at Harvard University, or will be, once this bio is posted. She attended Berman Hebrew Academy and SAR High School, and learned at Beit Midrash Migdal Oz in the Gush before beginning college. Yona is passionate about government and public service, particularly foreign policy, and interned in the office of Rep. Ritchie Torres this summer. Yona loves Jewish learning, particularly Daf Yomi and machshava-oriented texts, and her favorite story about the Kotzker Rebbe is the one where he goes to his cheder melamed's shiva. She is excited to hone Jewish leadership skills at Yavneh.
Yoni Singer - University of Maryland
Yoni Singer is a UMD student from Dallas, TX, majoring in computer science. In his free time he enjoys watching the Texas Rangers, reading, going for long runs, and making homemade pizza.
